The Opioid Epidemic: A Tale of Two Narratives

This information design poster delves into the opioid epidemic, with a focus on the Sackler family’s pivotal role through Purdue Pharma. Through extensive research, I structured the story into a dual-narrative timeline. The top section exposes the Sacklers’ aggressive and deceptive marketing practices, while the bottom section presents sobering facts about the devastating consequences for victims.

A deliberate design system reinforces the storytelling. Red and blue hues highlight the Sackler narrative, while yellow emphasizes victim-related data. Typography further differentiates the content: italics for supplementary facts, red for excerpts from emails or medication labels, and scaled text to guide the viewer through key points.
